![]() Motorola V60, V-60, V 60 The message on your phone when you try to charge your Motorola V60: Invalid Battery, Invalid Connection, Invalid Error, Battery will not charge. One day my main phone died (T-Mobile Dash). I had a Motorola Razr, but I gave it to my girlfriend to use. So I finally found my Motorola V60. So, I put in my SIM card and plugged in the AC adaptor and then, to my dismay, I got this message on the outside screen of the V60: Invalid Battery . I took the battery out, cleaned the contacts and reinstalled the battery. Then I plugged in the AC adaptor, but to no avail. Same error message: Invalid Battery. THE FIX: I bought a new battery and low and behold that fixed the problem. I was really stressing because like many of us I depend on a cell phone to conduct business. Now, all this happened on a Friday night, so I couldn't buy the battery online and get it overnighted to me. I went to a T-Mobile retail store, but they didn't stock the battery (nor any other batteries for that matter). I finally went into an AT&T cell phone store and a very nice salesperson told me, "If it's not a current product, NONE of the cell phones stores will have the battery. Try Radio Shack". So after spending Saturday and Sunday morning running around, I dropped into a Radio Shack and found the battery. Radio Shack even sold the accessories for the Motorola V60. Of course there were tons of Razr accessories, but noticing that Radio Shack even sold the back plate for the V60 made me feel a bit different about Radio Shack. Here was a company that cared more for T-Mobile customers than T-Mobile did. (I called T-Mobile when I first noticed the problem with my V60, but the tech support people couldn't figure what the message meant. But I will give T-Mobile and "A" for effort since they did spend quite a bit of time with me trying to figure it out). I cannot guarantee that installing a new battery will solve your problem, but it certainly did for me. When I really sit back and think about it, "Invalid Battery" simply means the battery in no longer valid...in other words; "it's time for a new battery". The 3.6 Lithium battery is still available at Radio Shack as of October 2007.
